I'm sorry you have to deal with nasty dogs living so close to you. I'm still keeping my fingers crossed that your pretty kitty will return home. Last fall one of my cats disappeared for a month! We thought for sure that a coyote or a fox had gotten her. A month later she magically showed up at home again! As we started thinking more about the time she disappeared we began to wonder if perhaps she got in my vet's truck when the vet was here to treat one of my horses, and it took her a month to find her way home again. maybe

Terry I was hoping for the same thing.
My niece was on a date, and they decided to go out of town. Her date couldn't understand why every time they came to a stop sign she would start to meow. She was actually thinking the same thing about him. They got a surprise when they got to their destination, and my sisters cat jumped out of the bed of his pick-up. It seems they could only hear his meow when they were at a stop. Thank goodness he didn't jump out of the truck bed when they were on the road. Anyway they turned around and took him home. They all had a really good laugh, about when they were thinking, either my niece or her date, was the one doing the meowing. The cat was fine, and Lisa, my niece, and John her date, got married, in spite of thinking the other one might have a meowing problem. We still laugh about that.
I hope your cat has just gone on an unscheduled trip and will find his way home soon.

I am just wondering, why your neighbor even has cat's if his dogs are so mean. It must be a terrible life for his cat's if they are always having to live in fear of being killed by the dogs. No wonder they come and sit in your yard. I think you neighbor should keep his dogs confined in a pen if they are that mean. His cats might not matter to him, but your cats matter to you, and you shouldn't have to worry about that.

He had those cats before dogs. These two dogs are year old(brother and sister)and they are German hound dogs. They should have some job to do, he don't care about them, don't walk them, and it is normal that these dogs are going to chase everything that moves. I don't blame the dogs.

when we had 4 wolf hybrids in the house they would chase cats they did not know, they knew what cats were "theirs", and what ones were not. even then, all they did was chase them up a tree, or into the barn, and into the hay. cat killing dogs are taught to do that by encouraging it by their owners, and other dogs actions, you are right lipizzan it is not really their fault, but their owners should be more responsible for their dogs actions.
