What amazing looking horses and the people are so colorful i would imagine no one thinks of people walking getting kicked or bumped. not like in this country where everyone is extra careful not to have horses backing up and hitting people
we have what is called Equine Affaires where there are up to 700 booths selling stuff. from ashtrays to zebra cloth fabric for throws. and many demonstrations by horse people and shows displaying the types of riding and training demos.
I love the mule
Verona Italy, my grandparents are from Naples, Benevento . Lucano

People are very relaxed, you can stand by any horse you what and take a picture, nobody will be mad or anything like thak. So you are partly italian, that is interesting

Looks like a blast! Do you bring any of your horses to the show? May be a great place to sell your stallion!

We didn't because we don't know the procedure, we came there as part of our Lipizzan horse association.

I am italian. all 4 grandparents were born in italy and my parents were born in this country. so that makes me italian american. yes
and those photos are awesome. to be that close to the lippizon is amazing. we went to a lippizon show and when i bought the tickets i told the agent that my husband was a horse trainer that could not see well and wanted the best seat she had. when we arrived at the venue an usher asked for my tickets. and he gave me this strange look. and promptly proceeded to take us to the first row that was roped off and on the floor. so when the horses went past we could smell them and catch their sweat. it was amazing.
i will never forget that ever.
many people are not aware that the dressage movements were for war. and the piaffe and the lavade are for striking the opponents off their horses and to see this being done in hand is amazing let alone being on top of a huge horse rising up in the air and kicking out. magical

All these figures that they do, in the war used them to defend or attack.

I did notice that in the first photo and the 4th photo especially , the hooves of the horses are high. not long in the toe but high!! are your personal horses like that, ? and on some of the other horses the shoes are beyond the hooves, ?? just wondering if there is a reason for it. as horses hooves are hooves, no matter what country they are in.

No, my horses are trimed barefoot. I don't see reason for that high hooves either.

Security guards maybe. It's really interesting to see all the different styles of riding and types of horses.
