Hi,
For those who don't know me, I'm Jerrica. I'm from southern Louisiana from a really small town in lower Lafourche Parish (45 minutes south of New Orleans and 45 minutes up the road from Grand Isle and Fourchon).
I'm married to a wonderful man and just had a beautiful baby girl who spent 13 days in the NICU after arriving 6 weeks early. She's doing great and is now 6 lbs 9 oz and 19 1/2 inches long. She was 4 lbs 3.9 oz and 17 1/4 at birth.
I have 4 horses, 1 mare and 3 geldings. I've worked in rescue, which is were my herd came from. My grey mare is Little Tilly Belle. She's AQHA registered and 8 years old. Just need to get her papers switched to my name. I have a 5 year old grade palomino gelding named Apollo. He's my heart horse that was rescued as a walking skeleton. You wouldn't know it to see him now. He's green broke to ride and drive. I have a chestnut gelding named Star (not my choice of names ) who is good for anyone to ride. He's 8-9 years old. I have a 5 year old paint/Appaloosa cross (according to his previous owner). He's very green broke but so calm that anyone can ride him. He just isn't fine tuned since I got pregnant before I could get to that.
I have 2 Australian shepherds, Daemon (2 years old) and Piper (5 months), a border collie/spaniel former shelter pooch Alex (1 year 8 months), and a long-haired chihuahua Silverbell (8 year old former puppy mill puppy), and Apollo, a 3-4 year old chocolate lab who is also a former shelter dog.
We have 5 barn cats, 6 if you count the feral kitten that showed up on our doorstep and has been eating with ours and an iguana and tarantula we inherited from my brother in law along with his cat (counted already).
We have 30 + ducks and chickens, 2 cockatiels and 2 geese. We also have 4 goats, 2 dairy goats and 2 pygmy goats.
I think I covered all the critters.
I'm a high school English teacher.
