I think I've lost count of how many horse sale groups I belong to on Facebook, or how often I visit the horse sale websites. Im always looking at the horses posted for sale, and reading the descriptions and trying to determine if that horse would be right for me...lol. Mind you I'm currently unable to own my own horse, sometimes I feel I'm torturing myself by doing this, other times I feel like by doing this I'm keeping the fire alive inside....that love for horses.*sighs*
Is anyone else guilty of this, even as a horse owner knowing you aren't looking to buy but still browsing?

I am guilty of that and i have so many horses outside it is not funny.. sure some are boarders and some are rescues and some are my riding horses. but i still look.. and i say.. gee i could afford one more.. or two.. lol... and i look at the auction sites also. and just have to keep my hands in control and not make that call to have another horse transported here. There was a time when i had no horse in my life.. oh about 10 years .. and i stopped to hug and feed all the horses i saw on the road when i went to work.. i used to pay to trail ride. and to just be around them.. until poof one day we decided to buy and we bought 4 in one day.. that was the start. 25 years later we have trained. sold. bought raised. and rescued hundreds.. so dream on and play in the for sale sites there will be a day when your dream becomes a reality.. that one face you see and you know you know in your heart you "just have to have it.. " .

I too am guilty of window shopping as well. I think most horse people are always looking to see what's out there whether they are truly looking or just wishing.

I have been horseless going on 7 years now (can't beleive it's been that long), and I do all those things you mentioned as well. I miss horses so much. Wow 4 in one day! What a way to start out! That's great, sounds like you have had a lot of great experiences so far Yes, the dream keeps me going. It feels like I'm waiting for a day that will never come, but I know it will. I cannot wait until that day comes, and I find "the one".

Glad to hear that I'm not alone, feels good to be relatable.

Definitely not just you. I spend a great deal of my spare time looking at sale ads.
I am actually in the market right now though - so if you happen to come across any young (3-6) "blank slate" types of Thoroughbreds or warmblood (15.3 +) under $5000 in western Canada (Alberta or Saskatchewan preferred) I'd love to here about them. Haha

Apollo - we have a lot of blank slate OTTBs under that price here in the states if you want to broaden your search. I will add you to a group on FB that has a lot like that.

Oh I do it too often. I look for horses and equipment. I always saw a horse that would be perfect for me. At least once a month heheh. I think there is no harm in watching
