Going to agree with HL Heaves can be the devil to deal with- and your area is hot and humid which can make treatment that much worse. Pass on this one.

I cannot add much to the already comprehensive replies, beyond agreeing with them.
Heaves is horrible to deal with and a massive PITA. I knew a pony with heaves once and it was heartbreaking watching this sweet little thing struggle.
I would pass.
