Well I did something that I have been wanting to do for a very long time. I have bailed a horse out of a kill pen, or to be more specific a mule. A 16.1 hand, 15 year old molly draft mule. She was scheduled to be sent to slaughter on Saturday if no one bailed her out. I paid her bail out fee tonight and tomorrow I will schedule transport to get her from PA down here to KY. I am so excited to get her! She's gorgeous!! Now I just need to think of a name for her!!

Lucky You , (look at the halters on the ground in the photo,,, ) she looks lovely and so glad you saved her. she is one of the lucky one. call or contact cindy noll on fb or fleet of angels. they are nation wide and will give you a good deal.

i would name her "Promise" ..

I love her sweet face. And I love Dolly for a name - so glad you rescued her. My mare senorita came out of the kill pen - ridable they said but with some issues. It was the best $400 I have ever spent and will do it again one day when I have the room for another horse.

I like Dolly and I like Promise too. So many good names for a mule. And even more so that she's a rescue and didn't end up "you know where". When she comes home you two are going to be such good friends, gosh, I can't wait to hear (and see) all about it
