Mares are great and as you said are very different from the geldings. remember in the wild they are the true leaders of the herd and the stallion is just for fighting to keep the herd together and for breeding. but the mare is the smart one to find water and safety. trust her and her instincts. and she does look wonderful and happy. and give her a chance to mature. all takes time and patience.
