OK this is a bit of a long shot.... I was shopping on horse.com the other day and went to check out my order. To my surprise half the blankets I want they are unable to ship into Canada for some unknown reason. Anyways, So my question really is if I was to buy everything, would it be possible to get someone to ship it to me??? I'm not really sure how to go about this but I was looking to purchase 5 blankets (combined order for me and a couple friends). Not really sure how to go about this or if it would even work but I'm hopeful! thanks, Roxanne

As long as you pay the shipping to Cananda from the states. I'd be willing to help ya out. I would think you order them and have them sent to my address, then I can ship them to you but seems that it would be more costly for you. Unless there is free shipping from them to me? Then you just have the cost of mailing or shipping to you.

Yea when I did the order there was few Item's that couldn't be stopped to Canada so I called the company and asked them why. The lady was super nice, and she explained how certain blankets have a specific fibre in them and those fibres aren't aloud to cross the boarder.
BUT... I went to my local feed store and asked to order that exact blanket (not many options out there for size 90 Rain Sheet!) and they where able to order for me from their supplier. Odd right!? So I ordered that one specifically from the feed store so I only need Gracie and Sheldon's blanket now. Also instead of paying $116 (add exchange between CAN and US dollars, shipping and duty feed) I ended up paying $180 locally and they get to deal with the shipping and receiving. So I am curious if I would have actually saved money by having that one shipped over?
Here's my dilemma. Because I wanted to do this order, I got a couple friends to add some items to the order so we could split the cost of shipping and duty but now I'm sorta wondering if it was really worth it. All of their items where blankets (pink, orange and plum camo winter blankets) and they can not be shipped.I'm also torn because I fell in love with a rain sheet for sheldon (which I can get shipped--yay) but one of the items I also really wanted was a fleece for gracie; she's a 52 so not many options locally and it was only $20! Out here they would sell for at least $100. Apparently because of the fibre that one can't be shipped either.
So long story short, I am still on the fence lol I've been thinking about it a lot. Some day's I want to get just what they left me as options and buy the rest locally and get the rest from pleasant ridge or something which I know I can have shipped within Canada.
Then I wonder if I really do need more horse stuff to begin with. LOL

I think your way "out" of this dilemma is to be honest and tell your friends the blankets "they" want are not shippable from the USA to Canada..... You are not lying, only telling the truth.... Let them know where the blankets were coming from {"horse.com"} and that you unfortunately can not give what they want... There is nothing you can do about it....
You can get out of a messy situation intact with no hard feelings. Let them know they need to figure a different way to get their blankets. You tried and were not successful because of federal shipping restrictions. It is not you. You tried.
As for your boy needing size 90..... www.sstack.com/horse-blankets-and-sheets_big-fella-blankets/
This place might just be what you search for for your little one and your big one.... they have a incredible rannge of sizes, styles and pricing.... Everyone raves about the quality of their products.... They ship internationally too!! Happy shopping. shopping

Can you get them from ebay.ca or amazon.ca cheaper?

WOW Sooo many options on that site for the big guy hl4l!! Thank you. And yea I broke the news to them, they where disappointed but understanding. It's out of my control I just feel bad because everyone got their hopes up.
I'll haven't checked eBay or amazon yet but I should do that!
All I know for sure is I need new blankies for my ponies. Poor sheldon has had nothing but hammy downs lately (which is fine!) but none of them fit quite right so I feel like he deserves his own. --I know he's my baby boy I want to make sure he's cozy.

I so feel your pain here. Finding online tack stores that will ship to Canada is brutal. Honestly! Its Canada! Not Tahiti or something!
Even worse is the ones where they keep teasing you for years that they are looking into shipping to Canada, but honestly probably never intend too, and just don't want to come out and say it. (I'm looking at you SmartPak!)
