Do you ever feel that there's always something going wrong, not always anything serious, just something that throws a spanner in your plans:(
Kennels were busy last couple weeks due to kids holidays, bit quieter since Sunday so this morning I go grocery shopping, come back, eat lunch, head to kennels again, anyway I'm walking dogs and I notice the horses drinking from the water trough but coming out with on their noses instead of dripping water, I go over and lo and behold the trough is frozen solid
I check the heater as hubby sometimes knocks get plug out when plowing but no it's plugged in, hmm, I reset the breaker and plug my clipper in to check it's working, no problem, so now I'm hoping it thaws albeit slowly as I don't have another trough.
so then I decide I better go to the city to get a spare heater incase it turns out this one is broken, what happens, it starts snowing, heavy, roads are already slick from day before, wet ontop of ice, what a stressful drive that was:(
Get back safely quick supper, head to kennels again as customers coming, fill couple buckets to keep horses going, they didn't seem desperate to drink, so that's a good sign, not sure when it stopped working, I remember checking it Friday or Saturday but Sunday we were busy digging and blowing and I was exhausted so I know I didn't that day.
So much for a relaxing afternoon and maybe watching the walking dead I'd recorded Sunday night as I was too busy:(
