Zippy sounds just like my mom's mare! So far when she does silly/spooky things we have been doing tight small circles until she calms down. I find she's already starting to realize that it's a lot more work to be naughty. Luckily she doesn't scare me while I'm on, she has pretty smooth gates so riding her quirks is fairly easy (even my mom can do it... that says a lot LOL).
