Oh HL those are adorable!! I learned how to make granny square but that looks like it takes some more to fit them properly.

Those are adorable. I looked into learning how to crochet just recently but quickly got daunted and never even tried!

HL I contacted her and she said she could make them. So I'm waiting for a reply back if she will do them for you. If she accepts I will pm you her name and you can contact her. She is a great person that I helped out with her riding. She loves horses but had to sell everything because of her health. So will let cha know as soon as I hear back.

Haha, spare time, you are so funny HL They don't look too difficult, but time consuming I would say. I would do it if I could. Right now I'm trying to make a pair of gloves for my son and it's awful slow going... My to do list for that sort of thing is getting awful long. smileys-home-243828

I bought the patterns for the owl and horse. I think it's going to take me an eternity to finish them. But it's fun to try something new

Yes, I'd love to see how they come out too.
I love trying new things, for years I only knitted square things, afgans, scarves and such, then one day I decided to try socks. I was so surprised how easy it was. I am still pitifully slow, but I CAN do it. At least with crocheting you show fairly quick progress. Good luck!
HL, I just finished my son's gloves, I'll try to post a picture. Now I am on to something for my mom.

You've knit socks? Or crochet socks? That is awesome. And you say its easy... really? But are they comfortable? I have to imagine the yard has to be fine and/or soft. How do they stay up?

I knit socks, crochet stitches would be too thick. The first socks I knitted with regular worsted to get the hang of it, they are wearable but thicker and I can wear them in boots or around the house. They are nice and warm though. Then I knitted a pair with baby type yarn, those turned out much better, they were thinner and soft. These are the baby yarn socks. They stay up nice, because the knit1, purl1 stitch is a stretchy stitch. I had started knitting socks because I couldn't find any socks that wouldn't cut my circulation in my ankles. So I figured I'd make my own. There is a great youtube video that took me step by step through my first pair that was great!!!! If you decide to try I'll get the link for you. Here's some other things I made: A scarf for my mama. Gloves for my friend: There are others but I'm too lazy to find a picture at the moment.
