Sis looks good in her blanket. Nate looks good in his too....lol Thanks! It was SOOOOO cold out there that night! Since I was the one taking the pictures, you didn't get to see me in my "blanket". Nate and I were both super bundled up!

The blanket looks a little long, but as long as she is not getting stuck on anything it will be ok. she looks warm and cozy

Boy, what a brutal winter we have all had this year, CRAZY COLD! Sis looks great in her fancy new blanket Did you buy a turnout sheet, or a stable blanket? I actually have bought both to have on hand, but we don't really get those kind of brutal temps in the mid-Atlantic. The coldest temps we've had this winter, are those with the windchills at, maybe, 1-4 below 0. Zippy has done well, with his high neck turn out on the really cold days. And he loves his stall, with the barn doors closed up tight, at night. Glad Sis is enjoying her new 'duds'.

You aren't kidding, Redzip; this has definitely been a brutal winter! In fact we went into another arctic deep freeze Sunday night with rapidly dropping temperatures and 50 mph wind gusts (with 25-30 mph sustained winds), so I put Sis's fancy new blanket on her again and she'll be in it until tomorrow morning. We hit a high actual temperature yesterday around 5 degrees (F), and our low actual temperature was around -15. Add in wind chill on top of that and it's been brutal! We are used to cold winters in Illinois, but they aren't normally this cold!
The blanket I bought for Sis is a Tough 1 Turnout Blanket. She really seems to love it, and I love that it keeps her warm. I'm also glad that both of my horses seem to really like being in their stalls at night during the winter. It helps me sleep better at night knowing they are safe inside out of the wind at night.
I thought I'd share a few more pictures of Sis outside playing in her new blanket. It definitely did not seem to slow her down!
She can roll in it...
She can run and play in it...
and she can lift her tail in it

She sure is strutting herself, showing off her new blanket. and i am with you ,what ever helps me sleep better is what the horses get. blankets, extra bedding. more food. better hay, better quality grain. and a room with a view. lol
